Location

Washington County is located in Western Central Maryland.  Bounded by Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia, it extends south to the merging of the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers, north to the Mason-Dixon Line, and west to Sideling Hill Creek.  Washington County is 72 miles west of Baltimore, and 70 miles northwest of Washington, D.C.
